Johan Delvaux

Johan Delvaux is the CEO of Medix Laboratoires, a role he has held since April 2018, and is based in Leuven. Since January 2009 he has also been the owner of Kompakt bvba.

He began his career at KU Leuven, where he was a research assistant from 1982 to 1985 and then a lecturer at the Group T Leuven Campus until 1987. He moved into industry as technical manager at Borden Food Inc and then production manager at McCain Foods, before joining Klöckner Pentapack, where he was managing director of the Benelux operation from 1991 to 1999 and CEO of Klöckner Pentapack Europe until 2001. He was vice-president EMEA at Avery Dennison from 2001 to 2006, co-owner and director of Decomet - Etalutil from 2007 to 2011, operations director at Smurfit Kappa Van Mierlo from 2011 to 2013, general manager at Glatfelter from 2015 to 2016 and COO at Aminolabs from 2016 to 2017.

He holds master's degrees in bio-engineering and industrial engineering from KU Leuven, where he also completed a postgraduate programme in international affairs and conflict management, along with certificates from Vlerick Business School and EHSAL.
