Joost Bruneel
Joost Bruneel is a co-founder of Amplifino, a position he has held since February 2014. He is based in Wevelgem. Since April 2013 he has also been the founder of Sm@rtkoder.
From January 2013 to January 2025 he worked in R&D software at Smappee. Before that he spent more than a decade at EnergyICT, where he led an R&D software team from August 2002 to April 2013. He was a team manager at Andersen from 1999 to 2002 and an OO consultant at Delaware Computing from 1997 to 2000, having begun his career as an R&D software engineer at Barco Graphics between October 1994 and February 1997.
Bruneel studied mathematics and computer science at KU Leuven from 1990 to 1994, graduating with a Master of Science, and followed a programme in applied statistics at Ghent University in 2003 and 2004.
