Joseph Bours

Joseph Bours is the chief executive officer of ERTMS Solutions, a role he has held since June 2019, and is based in Brussels. Since July 2020 he has also been the owner of JBO Consult. Between June 2021 and February 2023 he sat on the board of The Signalling Company.

Before joining ERTMS Solutions, Bours was a senior consultant at Carrée Biebuyck & Partners from October 2015 to June 2019. He was a vice president at Capgemini from November 2011 to November 2014, and director of sales for EMEA at Quest Software from October 2010 to September 2011. Earlier roles include sales manager at European Link View from 2003 to 2005, general manager for Benelux, Nordic and Channels in the SES division of Geac Computer Corporation from 2001 to 2002, and business consultant at Dun & Bradstreet Software from 1993 to 1994. From August 1982 to August 1985 he was a novice at the Abbaye de Maredsous.

Bours studied Latin-Greek at College St Pierre and completed a special mathematics year at the Institut Saint Jean-Baptiste de la Salle in 1982. He obtained a Master of Science in Business Engineering from the Louvain School of Management between 1985 and 1991, and trained as a life and business coach at the Centre de Formation à Distance in 2015.
