
Julien Compere
Julien serves as Managing Director and CEO of both the FN Browning Group and FN Herstal, headquartered in Herstal. The group is owned by the Walloon Region of Belgium and operates through subsidiaries in Belgium, the United States, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Finland.
FN Browning Group is among the top five global leaders in small caliber firearms across two markets: Defence and Law Enforcement, and Hunting and Sports Shooting. Under Julien's leadership, FN Herstal has increased weapons production by 1.5 times and was awarded the prestigious Ambrose Award in 2025. The company also signed a maritime defence partnership with Damen in early 2026.
