Karl Schmausser
Karl Schmausser is Chief Operating Officer of IPTE Factory Automation NV, a role he has held since December 2022. He joined IPTE in September 2017 as technical director, becoming technical managing director in May 2018, and from July 2019 to January 2023 he was also technical managing director of IPTE Platzgummer GmbH.
Before that he spent almost three decades at Schaeffler AG. He began there in 1985 with an apprenticeship, worked as a skilled worker in special machine building from 1988, and from September 1991 headed special machine building assembly and service. From September 1998 until August 2017 he led special machine building assembly, commissioning and service.
He trained as a toolmaker at the Staatl. Berufsschule Herzogenaurach between 1985 and 1988, and holds a master toolmaker qualification from the Handwerkskammer Nürnberg.
