Koen Vervaeke
Koen Vervaeke is the founder and CEO of Magcam, a company he founded in November 2009. He is based in Antwerp.
Before founding Magcam, Vervaeke was a postdoctoral fellow at KU Leuven and at imec from 2007 to 2009, having held research positions at both institutions as a PhD researcher between 2003 and 2007.
He studied physics at KU Leuven, completing a master's degree there between 1999 and 2003, and took a master's in physics at the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I) in 2002 and 2003. He obtained his PhD in physics from KU Leuven in 2007, and followed a postgraduate programme in business administration at the same university in 2007 and 2008.
