
Kris Van Vlaenderen is a co-founder and chief product officer of Kannika, based in Gent. He co-founded the company in August 2022. Since February 2021 he has also been managing partner and director of enterprise and solution architecture at Cymo, and since October 2004 he has been manager at E-Vlaenderen.
Before that he was a solution architect at TVH EQUIPMENT from 2018 to 2022, and technical lead, architect and scrum master at Bayer Crop Science from 2013 to 2017. He worked as an ICT consultant at ToThePoint IT Company between December 2012 and February 2021, and as technical coordinator at Christelijke Mutualiteit (CM) / Mutualité chrétienne (MC) in 2013. From 2010 to 2012 he was a software architect and coach at De Nationale Bank van België, and from 2008 to 2010 a software architect at Inno.com. He was a consultant at VDAB from 2004 to 2009, a technical analyst and developer at eXpanded Media and at Advanced Solutions, and a software developer at Inventive Designers from 1998 to 2000.
He studied informatica at Karel de Grote-Hogeschool, qualified as a certified software architect at the Open Universiteit, followed an ICT enterprise architecture programme at Universiteit Antwerpen Management School, and a project management programme at EHSAL Management School / Hogeschool - Universiteit Brussel.
