Kris Wouters

Kris Wouters is the chief executive officer of Oqcam, a role he took up in May 2024, and is based in Belgium. Before that he was general manager for healthcare at Oqton, Inc from January 2021 to May 2024.

He spent much of his career at Materialise. He joined in April 1996 as an application engineer for medical applications, became product manager for medical applications in 1999, and then held a succession of management roles: general manager of Materialise USA from July 2001, general manager of Columbia Scientific Inc, later to become Materialise Dental USA, from January 2002, medical division manager from February 2003, chief operations officer from July 2006 to November 2011, and consultant during 2012. He was general manager of Materialise Paris (OBL) from January 2013 to November 2014, and returned to Materialise as director of key partnership management from April 2016 to December 2020. In between he was managing director of OrthoView - Orthopaedic Digital Pre-operative Planning.

He worked as a scientific researcher at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven from 1995 to 1996. He studied physics at KU Leuven, followed by a postgraduate in biomedical engineering.
