Kristof Leroux

Kristof Leroux is a software developer and founder based in Genk. He co-founded Fintropy Belgium in September 2025 and is its chief executive. He has also been a senior blockchain developer at Toptal since November 2022, and he runs two companies he founded himself: Automata Studio, started in July 2019, and Laranea, where he has been founder and lead analyst and developer since November 2009.

Earlier he worked as an AI and LLM engineer at UCB in 2024, and with Satoshi Consultancy as lead developer and community expert between 2022 and 2024. He held senior Python engineering roles at Ardanis, ENGIE and InvestSuite, and was a senior Python developer at Namaste Technologies. Before that he was a back-end developer at TiiQu, a senior software engineer at EVOQIA, a Ruby on Rails back-end developer at jaimy, and an iOS and Ionic app developer at ONE Smart Control. He founded Kollab and Bodyshopping.be, advised Dataminded, and co-founded SocialExpress in 2012, the year he took part in Startupbootcamp as a finalist. He studied artificial intelligence at Hasselt University and took a master's degree in knowledge technology and artificial intelligence at Maastricht University.
