Kristof Vertongen

Kristof Vertongen is the owner of Exabyte, a position he has held since August 2008. He is based in Antwerp. Since July 2008 he has also been the owner of TZN-IT Comm.V, and from January 2003 until June 2023 he was the owner of Techzone.be.

Between August 2008 and December 2010 he was a network and system administrator at CD&V, working on a virtualisation project, and from August 2007 to December 2009 he held a network and system administrator role at JVC. He was a network and system engineer at iXL-IT from September 2004 to August 2008, product manager for hardware at CLOETENS NV from November 2002 to September 2004, and worked in internal sales support at Interact NV in late 2002. In 2001 and 2002 he completed a thesis at Better Access on a distributed system to index software usage based on domain names.

Vertongen studied computer science at KU Leuven and took a master's degree in industrial engineering, electronics ICT, at LUCA School of Arts. He later obtained Microsoft, Citrix and Vasco certifications.
