
Lars Halvorsen
Lars Halvorsen is the founder and managing partner of edenceHealth, a role he has held since February 2019. He is based in Brussels. He also continues to run Amilar sprl, which he founded in November 1999 and where he works as a consultant. His stated areas of expertise are the OMOP CDM, health data, real world data, federated analytics and OHDSI tools.
From November 1999 to February 2019 he was a technical project manager at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, a period during which he was also a founding partner of CDNetPlay SA between January 2001 and March 2002. Earlier he founded AMILAR Consulting, working there as a consultant from April 1994 to November 1999, and served as IT and computer systems manager at Høgskolen i Nord-Trøndelag from October 1993 to March 1994. He began his career as a senior programmer with Wyle Life Sciences, Inc. at JSC/NASA from August 1988 to October 1993, and was a part-time consultant at CM Research between August 1991 and August 1992.
Halvorsen studied electronics and microelectronics at Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) from 1980 to 1984 and took a B.Sc. in computer science at the University of Houston from 1985 to 1988.
