Laura Vass

Laura Vass is CEO of Pronovix Group Bv and is based in Gent. She co-founded Pronovix in October 2005 and remains a co-owner, taking up the role of CEO in October 2017.

She organises and hosts API The Docs, which she has run since June 2017, and has organised the Developer Portal Awards since January 2018. She organised the Amsterdam Write The Docs meetup from October 2017 to April 2024 and co-organised the Brussels Write The Docs meetup between January 2018 and December 2019.

From September 2005 to August 2008 she was a doctoral student at the Functional Genomics Laboratory of the Biological Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, following a PhD programme in functional genomics R&D there. She completed a Master of Chemistry at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Sciences, from 2000 to 2005, with work on zeolites, and studied chemistry and water management at the University of Ghent, Faculty of Sciences, in 2003. She attended Ságvári High School, University of Szeged, from 1994 to 2000, and has taken courses with BootCircle and DDD Academy.
