Laurens Van Keer

Laurens Van Keer is Chief Technology Officer at ledsreact, a role he took up in April 2024, and is based in Gent. Since October 2016 he has also run Applied Vision, which he founded. His stated areas of expertise are coaching, Node.js, Angular, software architecture and Amazon Web Services.

Before joining ledsreact he was a software engineer at VITO from October 2023, and prior to that spent over three years at Colruyt Group as a software engineering coach and trainer. Earlier roles include full stack developer at SYSKRON GmbH, software developer at Barco, full-stack developer at SmartWithFood, front end developer at Betsson Group and technical designer at KBC Bank & Verzekering. Between 2012 and 2015 he was co-owner and technical lead at Snoozon while also working as a freelance developer for Empirical Systems, and he worked as a programmer and proefleider at the KUL Onderzoeksgroep Marketing. In 2008 he programmed at K.U.Leuven Campus Kortrijk and at Spicer Off-Highway Belgium.

He studied informatics at KU Leuven, completing a bachelor's degree in 2010 and a master's degree in engineering: computer science in 2014, after secondary school at Sint-Jozefscollege Izegem.
