
Laurent Bouty
Laurent Bouty is Chief Technology & Information Officer at IRISnet, based in Brussels, a role he took up in October 2022 after seven years with the same organisation as its Strategy and Transformation Leader from May 2015. He has also been CEO and founder of The Beyonders since April 2017, and academic director at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM) - ULB since July 2010.
Earlier, he was a partner at Futurelab from 2013 to 2016 and Chief Marketing Officer of Orascom Telecom Algeria, part of the Vimpelcom Group, from 2009 to 2013. Between 2006 and 2009 he carried out strategic programme management missions for Orange, preceded by a year as Chief Marketing Officer of the startup Allisblue. He spent from September 1998 to September 2005 at Belgacom Mobile (Vodafone Group) as lead market manager, with a spell at Vodafone as core products and services manager in 2003. He began his career as a consultant at Compu'Train in 1994 and was a sales manager at Eurosense from 1995 to 1998.
Bouty studied civil engineering at the Université libre de Bruxelles, graduating in 1994, and returned there for a master's in telematics and organisation. He completed an Executive MBA at Henley Business School in 2003.
