Laurent Kosbach

Laurent Kosbach is the CEO of Nanocyl, based in Belgium. He took up the role in May 2014, having joined the company in December 2012 as Strategic Marketing Director.

Before Nanocyl, Kosbach spent much of his career at Cabot Corporation. He joined in 1995 as a business and market analyst, became New Business Development Manager for Europe in 1997, then global segment manager for the Life Sciences segment from 2001 to 2003. He was Marketing Manager Europe in the Fumed Metal Oxydes Division from 2003 to 2009 and European Marketing and Technical Service Manager in the Performance Products Division from 2009 to 2011. Earlier, he was Executive Director of the Centre Franco-Américain from 1990 to 1994 and export and international manager at WR Medical Electronics in late 1994.

Kosbach studied at Colby College and at the Université de Caen Normandie, where he took a DEA in management sciences, and at the UMN Carlson School of Management. He pursued a doctorate in management sciences, on management of technology, at the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, and attended a regional session on defence policy at IHEDN in Paris in 2012.
