Laurent Remont

Laurent Remont is chief executive officer of epigan and is based in Grenoble. Since April 2026 he has also been chief executive officer of SOITEC.

He joined Infineon Technologies in 2019, where he was vice president for sensor solutions and IoT until 2023, then vice president for application innovation and solutions, senior vice president and general manager for RF and sensors from 2023 to 2025, and senior vice president and general manager for MEMS and magnetics from October 2025 to April 2026. Before that he spent two years at Kontron, first as vice president of worldwide engineering and then as chief technology officer of the S&T Group and Kontron.

From 2000 to 2015 he held a series of roles at STMicroelectronics, including director of system architecture and technical marketing for set top box, senior director of technology and system architecture in the Home Entertainment Group, general manager and vice president of the Connected Home Division, and vice president of technology and product strategy. He began his career at Philips Consumer Lifestyle in 1995 as a research engineer and project leader, later working as a set top box system architect.

Remont holds an engineering master's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Grenoble INP - UGA, studied at Grenoble INP - Phelma, and completed an executive management programme at INSEAD in 2023.
