Lou Van Beirendonck

Lou Van Beirendonck is the founder of donus, a company he started in October 2015, and is based in Antwerp. He also founded Quintessence in September 1988, where he has been founder-director since.

He has taught HRM at Antwerp Management School since 1990, first as executive professor until 2010 and, since 2010, as professor of HRM and academic director of the Masterclass HRM. He has been a guest lecturer at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School since 2000, and was an executive professor at Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel from October 1991 to June 2010. Between September 2004 and August 2010 he was a director of Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen, and since July 2020 he has been a director of Vzw Sint Annendael Grauwzusters. Earlier in his career, from 1984 to 1988, he ran SBA Selectie- en bedrijfsadvies.

He studied psychology at KU Leuven, completed a postgraduate programme at Hasselt University and an executive master in business administration at Antwerp Management School, and obtained a doctorate in psychology at Tilburg University in 2010. He also holds an Appreciative Inquiry certificate from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
