
Louis Kruyfhooft is a co-founder of Profinity, where he has been chief operating officer since March 2023. He is based in Turnhout.
Between February 2019 and June 2021 he was principal researcher in R&D at Circular Organics. Earlier he carried out a bachelor thesis (2015 to 2016), a master junior thesis (2016 to 2017) and a master thesis (November 2017 to June 2018) at UHasselt, and in May 2017 took part in a summer school internship at Hochschule Kaiserslautern in Germany. During his studies he served as president of the biology and chemistry student association Dips from September 2014 to June 2015, and as president of its Lustrum association from September 2015 to June 2016.
Kruyfhooft studied at Sint-Pietersinstituut Turnhout from 2005 to 2012, then took a bachelor's degree in biology at Hasselt University (2012 to 2016) followed by a master's degree in biomedical sciences, in bioelectronics and nanotechnology, at the same university (2016 to 2018).
