Luc Claeys
Luc Claeys is the founder of asup and is based in Ghent. He has been a managing partner at asup.io since July 2023 and has been a partner at APERTA since June 2015, having served as its managing partner from April 2015 to December 2024. In January 2025 he became a mentor with Netwerk Ondernemen. His stated areas of expertise are management consulting, B2B, enterprise software, start-ups and project management.
Earlier, Claeys worked in business development and strategy consulting at Pure Sign from 2011 to 2015, and owned SalesHammer N.V., where he was a strategic sales consultant from 2006 to 2013. He was a director at Easi N.V. between 2005 and 2007. He was a founding partner and managing director of Axias N.V. from 1999 to 2005, and a founding partner of VIA N.V. from 1993 to 1999. He began his career as a systems analyst at Unilever in 1983, moving to Dolmen Computer Applications as a sales executive in 1986 and then to Proget N.V. as branch manager from 1989 to 1992.
Claeys studied business administration and computer applications at KU Leuven, completing a master's degree in 1983.
