
Luc De Clerck is the CEO of portomundi and is based in Mechelen. Since April 2023 he has also been co-founder and CEO of PAMPILIE BV, and he has been a project manager with NGO FLAME GROUP since November 2003. In January 2025 he took up a role as a staff officer with the Land Reserve of the Belgian Army, following service as a senior captain with ACOS R & O (Div. Plans. - COP), Belgian Defence, from 2015 to 2024, and with 1 Bn Para from 1990 to 2010.
Between 2008 and 2023 he held a series of roles at Philips: training development manager for EMEA, medical intelligence and transformation manager for a multi-country region in EMEA, senior consultant for clinical transformation and education in EMEA, venture manager for healthcare strategy and new business development in Africa, and business development manager and clinical lead for primary and community care solutions. He was a project manager at Philips Foundation from 2020 to 2023 and operations manager at Praesens Care from 2023 to 2024.
Earlier he was a clinical specialist in advanced technologies at Smith & Nephew, transplant coordinator at Brussels Skinbank, and head physiotherapist and disaster manager at the ICU of the Military Burn Centre in Brussels. He studied physiotherapy at Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen, then completed postgraduate studies in crisis and disaster management at KU Leuven and in commercial management at HIRL Leuven.
