Maarten Bogaert
Maarten Bogaert is a co-founder of openvme, based in Antwerp. He had been the owner of OpenVME from May 2013 until June 2024, when he took up the co-founder role. Since January 2024 he has also been a co-founder of Mymmo App, and since August 2008 he has been the owner of Mille BV, working as an independent contractor.
Between March 2017 and June 2023 he was a developer at Digipolis Antwerpen. Earlier he was a project manager at Rombit from October 2014 to May 2015, and technical lead at Android NV from March 2012 to September 2014. He worked as a senior software developer at Telenet from December 2009 to July 2011, and as a web developer at Essent Belgium NV from February 2008 to February 2009 and at hydrodesk from October 2007 to January 2008.
Bogaert studied at the University of Antwerp, where he obtained a Master of Science in Environmental Biology in 2005, after completing secondary school in Latijn-Wetenschappen at Xaveriuscollege in Antwerp.
