
Marc Delbaere is the founder of kindata, a company he started in June 2024, and is based in Brussels. His stated areas of expertise are data management, business value, change management, data products and stakeholder management.
Before founding kindata he was CEO of Digazu - PipeStore from September 2021 to June 2024, and in the autumn of 2021 he was also entrepreneur in residence at Euranova. He spent more than thirteen years at SWIFT, where he was head of standards strategy and architecture from 2008, head of MyStandards from 2011, global head of corporates and trade from 2016 and head of payment prevalidation until August 2021.
Delbaere joined IBM in January 1996 as an actuary business modeller and consultant, then led the IAA model development team, managed development for insurance application architecture and, from 2006, was product portfolio manager for IBM Industry Models. He began his career as a junior actuary at Buck Consultants in 1993 and was a junior trader at JPMorgan Chase from 1994 to 1995.
He studied business administration at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and took a masters in actuarial science at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
