Marc Wachsmuth

Marc Wachsmuth is chief executive officer of MICLEDI microdisplays, a role he took up in January 2025, and is based in Antwerp. Since January 2006 he has been a partner and co-founder of CAPITAL-E II, where he has also served as managing partner since November 2012, and he has been managing partner and owner of Capital-E Partners over the same period.

He holds board seats at Accelleran, which he joined in April 2016, at sureCore Ltd since 2014 and at eoSemi Ltd. since June 2010. Earlier board and observer positions included Silicon Mobility from 2019 to 2024, Silicon Line GmbH from 2016 to 2023, Merus audio from 2015 to 2018, Movidius from 2011 to 2016, TRINEAN from 2007 to 2016 and CMOSIS from 2007 to 2013.

Before that he was an executive investment manager at GIMV Venture Capital from 1999 to 2005, a business manager at Altran from 1996 to 1998, and a sales and project manager at Atlas Copco from 1991 to 1995.

He studied engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the University of Liège, took a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Cranfield School of Management, and completed CEPAC finance studies at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
