Marcello Chiurazzi

Marcello Chiurazzi is the CEO of AuraSensae, based in Florence. He has held that role since May 2024, having previously been the company's chief technology officer from October 2019.

His work at AuraSensae ran alongside a series of positions at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, where he was a research assistant from February 2017 to May 2021, a postdoctoral researcher from May 2021 to March 2022, and an assistant professor from March 2022 until May 2024. Before that he was an associate researcher at Ceit-IK4 during 2016, and spent part of 2015 at the TUM Graduate School.

He completed a doctorate in biorobotics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna between 2018 and 2022. He holds a laurea specialistica in bioengineering and biomedical engineering from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, obtained between 2013 and 2015, and a bachelor of engineering in biomedical engineering from Università Federico II di Napoli, completed between 2009 and 2013.
