Mark Adriaenssens

Mark Adriaenssens is the founder and chairman of the board of Out of Use nv, a position he has held since October 2024. He is based in Antwerp.

He studied electro-mechanical engineering at the Koninklijke Industriele Hogeschool De Nayer (KIHMG) from 1977 to 1981. From September 1998 to December 2007 he was general manager of Apparec, and he was operations manager at Coolrec Group from 1998 to 2009, holding that role in 2008 in connection with both Coolrec and Van Gansewinkel. Between 2004 and 2008 he sat on the technical working group of EARN.

Adriaenssens founded Out of Use in March 2009 and was its CEO until October 2024, when he took up the chairmanship of the board. He co-founded Watt4Ever in June 2020 and was chairman of its board until June 2025, and from December 2019 to June 2025 he was chairman of the board of Circular.brussels.
