Marlies Bonte
Marlies Bonte is a Product Owner and Scrum Master at lilo, based in Leuven. She joined lilo in November 2019 as Chief Revenue Officer, a role she continues to hold, and took up the product owner and scrum master position in January 2025.
Before joining lilo she was a Global Account Manager at LanguageWire from September 2016 to November 2019. She spent four years at Xplanation, first as a project manager from August 2012 and then as team leader for EU operations from July 2014 until September 2016. Earlier she worked briefly as a translator at schaerer benelux in early 2012, and completed interpreting internships at the European Commission in January 2011 and at the Council of Europe in April 2011.
She studied at Lessius Hogeschool Antwerpen, where she completed a master's degree in interpretation and translation in 2010 and a postgraduate programme in conference interpreting in 2011.
