
Mathias Wijffels is the CEO of ALSIC, a role he has held since June 2022, and is based in Antwerp.
Before that he spent seven years at 3P - Public Procurement Partners, joining as COO in February 2014 and serving as CEO from September 2015 until October 2021. He came to 3P from Tessenderlo Group, where he worked from January 2008 to January 2014, first as production leader for sulphuric acid, then as group project leader and finally as M&A manager. Earlier he was a production engineer at Hercules in 2007 and a process engineer at TotalEnergies from December 2002 to July 2007.
Wijffels studied mechanical engineering at KU Leuven, graduating in 2002, and wrote his Diplomarbeit on flame propagation in gas engines at the Technische Universität Graz. He completed an MBA at Vlerick Business School between 2007 and 2009. He attended Sint-Vincentiuscollege Ieper.
