Matthieu Oliviers

Matthieu Oliviers is a co-founder of procaryote, where he has been an investor working on AI agentic systems for healthcare since July 2025. Since 2021 he has been a project leader at Hôpitaux Iris Sud - Iris Ziekenhuizen Zuid, working on EHR systems and medical data insights, and since 2022 he has tutored in e-health and connected devices at EPHEC.

He was a director and managing consultant for operations management and Industry 4.0 at Philips from 2020 to 2021, and before that EMEA continuous improvement lead for MedTech services at BD. From 2015 to 2018 he was a PMI and reorganisation programme manager and lean performance partner at GSK, following two years as a director and principal for lean and digital transformation at Capgemini Consulting. He was a strategy and operational excellence consultant at McKinsey & Company from 2006 to 2010, and spent 1999 to 2006 at ArcelorMittal as programme manager, business unit manager for engineering, plant manager and technical director, and multi-site manager. Earlier he was a business development engineer at Omron Industrial Automation Europe and a robotics researcher at the Université catholique de Louvain.

He studied engineering at the Université libre de Bruxelles and mechatronics at the Université catholique de Louvain, with exchanges at the University of Surrey, Polytechnique Montréal and the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and completed an executive MBA at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
