Matthijs Peeraer

Matthijs Peeraer is managing director of Dockmate, a role he took up in September 2025. Based in Kampenhout, he lists expertise in governance and organisation, social skills, project management, operational improvements and business development.

He joined Dockmate in December 2024 as operations director before moving to his current role. Prior to that he was operational director at GIEL bv from December 2023 to November 2024. He spent almost a decade at Hamer Belgie (Technical Installations), joining in May 2014 as a sales engineer for industry and serving as Sales & Marketing Manager from May 2015 until December 2023. Earlier he headed the mechanical service at Fluxys, worked as an inspector in industrial services at SGS, and was a service engineer at Fike Europe from February 2006 to January 2011. He began his career at Provincie Antwerpen in February 1997, working as a technician for maintenance and audiovisual equipment until 2006.

He studied construction engineering with a specialisation in construction and technology at the Vrij Instituut Technisch Onderwijs Hoogstraten.
