
Maxim Schelfhout
Maxim Schelfhout is the chief executive officer of Skylegs, a role he has held since June 2013, and is based in Antwerp. He has managed Infomar BV since 2011, and since June 2025 has also flown as a contract pilot for FlySolutions.
Schelfhout has held a series of contract pilot positions: with ASL group from December 2013 to November 2018, Wingmann BV from June 2015 to November 2021, Luxaviation Belgium from December 2021 to August 2024, and AXIS Aviation from October 2024 to February 2025. Between January 2014 and March 2016 he sat on the board of the Vereniging Vlaamse MotorVliegclubs (VVMV) with responsibility for sport. Earlier he interned at LMS International and, in 2009, at TUI Airlines Belgium trading as Jetairfly in engineering. He was a member of the Royal Belgian Air Cadets from 2004 to 2012 and worked as a student worker at Storex Belgium from 2004 to 2010.
Schelfhout studied aviation technology at HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen and took an MSc in aeronautical engineering at VIVES University of Applied Sciences, followed by Innovatiemanagement voor KMO's at Vlerick Business School. He obtained his airline transport pilot licence at Hub air and holds type ratings on the King Air BE300/1900 and the Dassault Falcon 2000EX Easy from FlightSafety Int., a class rating instructor qualification from Van De Bunte Aviation and PC12NG/NGX training from Fly 7 Training.
