Meshia Oveneke

Meshia Oveneke is co-founder and chief technology officer of Neotex.ai Belgium, a role he has held since December 2019, and of Neotex.ai RDC since May 2022. He is based in Brussels.

Since September 2025 he has been an associate professor in artificial intelligence and decision support systems at the Haute École de Commerce de Kinshasa (HECKIN) and a guest professor in artificial intelligence and digital signal processing at the Université de Kinshasa (UNIKIN), where he was previously an associate professor in artificial intelligence from 2020 to 2023. He has also held guest professorships at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the Université Nouveaux Horizons and Mapon University.

Oveneke worked as an artificial intelligence consultant at Electrabel from 2024 to 2025, at Flanders Make from 2021 to 2022, at Infrabel from 2019 to 2020 and at Proxi-IT Innovative Solutions in 2013. At the Vrije Universiteit Brussel he was a PhD researcher and teaching fellow from 2013 to 2018, then a postdoctoral researcher and teaching fellow until 2020, and earlier an artificial intelligence developer at its ETRO department. He was also a PhD researcher with IWT and with Team Bedrijfstrajecten - VLAIO between 2014 and 2017.

He earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
