Michael Ghijs

Michael Ghijs is a co-founder of Elegent, a company he co-founded in April 2022. He is based in Gent.

He combined the early years of that role with a research position at Universiteit Gent, where he was a postdoctoral researcher from December 2020 to December 2024. Before that he was a doctoral researcher at Ghent University from October 2014 to May 2020.

He studied at Ghent University from 2009 to 2014, graduating with a Master of Science in bioscience engineering with a specialisation in environmental technology.
