
Michael Littlehale
Michael Littlehale is a co-founder of PolicySpeak, which he started in August 2025. He is based in Belgium.
Before that he spent two and a half years at POLITICO Europe, joining as an intelligence analyst in January 2023 and serving as director of research and analysis from January 2024 until July 2025. From November 2017 to January 2023 he was a senior policy advisor at FiscalNote, and in 2017 he worked as a project assistant at the Trans European Policy Studies Association.
Littlehale held two Robert Schuman traineeships in 2016, one at the European Parliament Liaison Office with US Congress and one at the European Parliament. He was a research fellow at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly from February 2015 to February 2016, completed a research internship at the Centre for Security Studies - BiH in 2014, and was a commissioning editor at E-International Relations between 2013 and 2014. He interned in communication and outreach at the Cambridge Energy Alliance in 2011.
He holds a master's degree in international relations and international organization, with a focus on international security, from the University of Groningen, and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Suffolk University.
