Michael Thys

Michael Thys is co-CEO of doqmind, a position he took up in April 2026. Before that he was general manager of ideeds from May 2023 to October 2025, and country manager for Belgium at Hiflow (Expedicar) from July 2020 to April 2023.

He spent fourteen years at the MENARINI Group, joining as an account manager in July 2006 and serving as a district sales manager from October 2012 until July 2020.

Thys played professional handball for VfL Handball Gummersbach GmbH during the 2004-2005 season. He was an elite coach and team coach in handball with the Vlaamse Handbalvereniging from 2005 to 2020, and a national coach and team coach in canoe polo with the Vlaamse Kano & Kajak Federatie from 2015 to 2019.

He studied at Ghent University from 2002 to 2006, obtaining a master's degree in physical education and sports management.
