Michel Vanbrabant

Michel Vanbrabant is the chief executive of iSTAR Medical, a position he has held since July 2014, and is based in Brussels. He has been the owner of MV Lifesciences since January 2011, and sits as an independent board member at Endo Tools Therapeutics, which he joined in August 2016, and at xNerve, which he joined in September 2023. He was previously an independent board member of ProTip SAS from July 2010 to December 2016.

Between May 2013 and April 2015 he was managing director, international, at REVA Medical, Inc., and before that vice-president of sales and marketing for Europe at PneumRx. At St. Jude Medical he was director of marketing for cardiology from November 2005 and then senior director of neuromodulation until June 2011. Earlier he worked at Guidant as marketing manager for vascular intervention in Europe and subsequently as country manager for vascular intervention in France.

He holds a master's degree in business engineering from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and completed an Executive MBA at Columbia Business School in 2007. He is enrolled in the Take the lead in AI programme at Vlerick Business School in 2026.
