Mickael Gay

Mickael Gay is the founder of Actibot, which he started in May 2017, and he is based in Rennes.

From May 2017 to May 2020 he worked as a class 1 remote pilot at Europa Drone, a company he founded in May 2018. Between April 2019 and May 2020 he was also with Instadrone SARL, holding a class 1A drone pilot licence in Belgium and working as a drone operator in France. From January 1997 to January 1999 he carried out military service.

He trained as an industrial electromechanical maintenance technician at IPAM La Louviere between 2014 and 2015, where he also obtained a VCA safety certificate, and took courses at Technocampus in conventional shaft alignment and BA5 electrical safety. He obtained a class 1 professional remote pilot licence from Belguim drone school in 2018 and completed DJI M600 LiDAR training at Techo-Centre Instadrone in 2019. He took electrical authorisation courses at Pôle Formation UIMM - Bretagne in 2023 and began petrochemical training with ATSI in 2025.
