Monika Karanikolova

Monika Karanikolova is a co-founder and brand strategist at Avantages, a role she has held since October 2023. She is based in Bulgaria. She has also been the owner, graphic designer and illustrator of MK Fashion Style since July 2021, and a brand marketing consultant at mkfashionstyle.com since November 2017.

At Sapienza Università di Roma she worked as a digital fashion marketer from October 2018 to January 2019 and then as a branding and influencer marketing specialist until July 2019. Earlier, at the American University in Bulgaria, she was a student ambassador, a graphic design assistant and a special events intern between 2015 and 2017, worked in PR and fundraising from 2013 to 2014, and served as vice-president and choreographer of the AUBG Dance Crew from 2013 to 2017. She held a graphic design internship at Business and Finance College- Sofia, took part in a Work & Travel programme with McDonald's, and worked at Atos IT Solutions and Services A/S.

Karanikolova holds a BA from the American University in Bulgaria, with a major in journalism and mass communication and minors in fine arts and in philosophy and religion, and an MS in fashion studies from Sapienza Università di Roma.
