
Nicolopoulos Stavros
Stavros Nicolopoulos is the founder of NanoMEGAS, where he has been director and chief executive since July 2004. He is based in Brussels.
From 2004 to 2006 he was a researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de València, and from 2005 to 2009 he was a consultant to the International Union of Crystallography for its Comission on Electron Diffraction. Earlier he was a director at FEI Company from 1996 to 2004, and an associate professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 1991 to 1996.
He studied in the Department of Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1980 to 1984. He then took a master's degree in materials science at the Université Grenoble Alpes in 1985 and 1986, and completed a doctoral thesis in materials science at the same university's Laboratoire de cristallographie between 1986 and 1989.
