Octave Oliviers

Octave Oliviers is a co-founder of procaryote and is based in the United Kingdom. He co-founded Procaryote, a role he held from May to September 2025, and since June 2026 he has been a co-founder of Melodic.

Between February 2021 and June 2023 he was a teaching assistant at the University of Cambridge, where he undertook a PhD in reinforcement learning from 2020 to 2026. Earlier, in the summer of 2019, he was a research intern in NLP at Philips, and from November 2017 to June 2018 he was a research student in reinforcement learning at KU Leuven. His first recorded role was as co-founder and CEO of WAZI, from September 2014 to August 2015.

At KU Leuven he took a Master of Science in Mathematical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering, both from 2018 to 2020, following a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Architecture from 2015 to 2018.
