Olaf Schmeink

Olaf Schmeink is Chief Operating Officer of Quantessence, a role he has held since July 2024, and is based in Zürich. Since May 2026 he has also been a co-founder of CoreLateral and a senior advisor to Counselops, Inc. He states expertise in operational leadership, business transformation, regulatory and risk, financial management and leadership.

Between October 2022 and June 2024 he headed enterprise solutions for EMEA at UnitedLex. He was at UBS from June 2017 to September 2022 as Group Legal COO leading business change management, and before that spent from November 2011 to June 2017 at Information Factory leading business consulting for financial institutions. Earlier roles were partner at WATC Consulting AG from 2010 to 2011, director at Lodestone Management Consultants from 2009 to 2010, vice president at The Information Management Group from 1999 to 2009, and auditor at KPMG from 1997 to 1999.

He studied at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, completing a Diplom in Informatik (FH) in 1996, took an MBA in entrepreneurship at James Madison University in 1996, and gained a diploma in business administration from BSB - Burgundy School of Business in 1997.
