Oliver May
Oliver May is Product Owner for GIPOD at athumi, a role he took up in May 2023, and is based in Gent. He has held the same product ownership of GIPOD at Digitaal Vlaanderen since March 2021, having joined that organisation as an information technology project manager in November 2019. Since October 2019 he has also worked as a strategic IT advisor at pnkl.
At Geosparc, from 2012 onwards, he worked as a geospatial architect and as project manager and scrum master, later as product owner between 2016 and 2018 and as support manager from March 2018. In parallel he was at DFC Software Engineering from February 2008, first as a geospatial architect, then as project manager and scrum master from 2009 and as operations manager from January 2012.
He has been a developer and PSC member of the Geomajas project since 2008 and has sat on the board of OSGeo.be since October 2015. He was a member of Ordened Computer Chaos from 2000 and its chairman from November 2005 to February 2010. He studied computer science at Ghent University.
