Pascal Synaeve

Pascal Synaeve is the CEO of PimLayer, a role he took up in January 2025. He is based in Gent.

He was CEO of Aware from July 2007 to December 2024, and owned The Online Sales Company bvba between May 2015 and July 2019. From January 2005 to 2015 he served as an expert for IWT, the Institute for the promotion of innovation through Science and Technology in Flanders.

Synaeve has held a series of teaching posts. He has been a guest professor at HOGENT since September 2017 and a visiting professor at Universidad CEU San Pablo since March 2024. Earlier he was a visiting professor at KU Leuven Campus Brussel - Odisee from September 2013 to September 2016 and at EHSAL Management School from March 2003 to June 2010. He has been a pilot in command since March 2012.

He studied business engineering and completed an educational master's programme at KU Leuven, studied psychology at Ghent University, and followed the Digital Transformation Manager programme at Vlerick Business School. He also studied automechanica at Syntra Antwerpen en Vlaams Brabant and trained as an ISO9001 quality consultant. His secondary education was at College O.-L.-V.-ten-Doorn Eeklo and Sint-Barbaracollege.
