Patrick Rüdelsheim

Patrick Rüdelsheim is a co-founder of 3bio and is based in Gent. Since December 2023 he has served at 3BIO as a director and chief regulatory officer. Between April 2017 and January 2025 he was a director and senior regulatory advisor at ABS-int, and from April 2003 to January 2025 he was owner and general partner of Perseus BVBA.

Earlier, he headed biotechnology regulatory affairs globally at Bayer Crop Science, from 2000 to 2001 and again from 2002 to 2003, and held the same responsibility at AgrEvo GmbH from 1996 to 2000. He was director of regulatory affairs at Plant Genetic Systems from 1990 to 2000, and before that worked as a biotechnology researcher at D.J. VanderHave B.V. from 1988 to 1990.

Rüdelsheim attended Onze-Lieve-Vrouwecollege from 1965 to 1977 and completed a PhD in science and biology at the University of Antwerp in 1987.
