
Peter-William Hellings is the chief executive officer of MedEx, a role he took up in August 2024, and is based in Bertem. He has chaired AFT Leuven since May 2024, having previously worked there on startup relations from May 2023 to May 2024 and as MedTech organiser from May 2022 to May 2023. During 2025 he was a visiting analyst at Capricorn Partners, and in the first half of 2024 he held an analyst internship at FundPlus. Earlier roles include partnerships lead at Tectonic in 2023, a market research internship at ArtiQ, a fellowship on the Plug and Play Tech Center university programme, student researcher at FIBEr, the KU Leuven Core Facility for Biomechanical Experimentation, and a summer internship at Théa Pharma France in 2018. He took part in the Young Potentials summer school in 2016. He studied medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of KU Leuven, completing a bachelor's degree in 2017 and a master's degree in 2020, and holds a master of engineering in biomedical engineering from KU Leuven, obtained in 2024. He states expertise in healthcare, medtech, digital health, strategic partnerships and venture capital.
