Pieter Maelegheer
Pieter Maelegheer is a co-founder of Footprint, which he started in September 2022. He is based in Brugge.
From October 2016 until May 2023 he worked at CNH Industrial as a model based control design engineer, a role that overlapped with the founding of Footprint. Before that he was a doctoral student at Ghent University between October 2015 and June 2016. Earlier he interned at Spiromatic during the 2012 to 2013 academic year, and worked as a student at McDonald's Belgium in the summer of 2011.
He studied electromechanical engineering with a specialisation in control engineering and automation at Ghent University, graduating with an M.Sc. in 2015, after completing an M.Sc. in industrial sciences, electromechanics, at Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge-Oostende in 2013. He attended Sint-Lodewijkscollege from 2005 to 2009.
