Pieter Van Hoorne

Pieter Van Hoorne is co-founder and chief executive officer of prompto, and is based in Ghent. He served as chief executive officer of Prompto.com from January 2017 to February 2025, and over an overlapping period, from January 2017 to April 2022, held the same role at Around Media. Between January 2020 and December 2024 he chaired the PropTech Lab Peer Group for internationalisation and fundraising at EightySeven.

He began his career at Deloitte in October 2011 as a consultant, becoming a senior consultant in December 2016 and remaining until February 2017. During that period he also worked as interim accounting manager at Showpad from February to May 2016.

Van Hoorne studied economics at Sint-Vincentiuscollege Ieper from 2002 to 2008 and completed a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance at Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West-Vlaanderen between 2008 and 2011. He is registered with the ITAA as an accountant and tax consultant.
