Pieter Verdegem

Pieter Verdegem is co-owner of Future Services, a role he took up in January 2026. He is based in Gent.

Verdegem joined Aleris in July 2010 as an operational excellence engineer, becoming a production engineer in September 2012, operations manager in August 2014 and operations director in February 2020. In October 2020 he moved to ALVANCE Aluminium Group as operations director, remaining until May 2022. He then joined Aluminium Duffel as vice president operations, and from September 2023 to March 2026 was global sales and marketing director there.

He studied industrial sciences and civil engineering at Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven' in Gent and at the Universitat de Girona, and completed a Master of Engineering in industrial engineering and operations research at Ghent University in 2010. He obtained a Green Belt in Lean and Six Sigma with Stanwick Consulting in 2014 and an Executive MBA at Vlerick Business School between 2018 and 2020, with study at Fudan University in 2019 and the Silicon Valley Immersion Program at the University of San Francisco in 2020. In 2024 he followed the Board Effectiveness programme at Guberna, instituut voor bestuurders.
