Raf Kimpe

Raf Kimpe is the CEO of FINTECH BELGIUM, a role he took up in May 2025 after joining the organisation as content manager in January of that year. He is based in Gent. Since August 2018 he has been managing director of Rafco Consulting, and in June 2025 he joined the advisory board of Started PR.

From January 2021 to September 2025 Kimpe was chief executive officer of Fintech Week London, and between October 2024 and September 2025 he served as an ambassador for Fintech Fringe. He was chief commercial officer of both The Fintech Times and The Fintech Power 50 from July 2021 to June 2023, and director of business development at ScaleHealth Belgium from January 2021 to December 2022. Earlier roles include business development at Orsi Academy, business development and ecosystem work at B-Hive Europe, customer success management at Cloud Innovation, and accounts payable at IBS AB. He worked at iMinds from September 2010 to January 2017, in project administration and control and then as a process and information analyst, continuing in that analyst role at imec.

Kimpe holds a Bachelor of Education from Arteveldehogeschool and studied business process management at Kluwer.
