TLDR

Robin Praet is a Belgian founder, co-founder of Holmes and previously co-founder of Smartendr, the hospitality ordering platform acquired by OrderBilly in September 2025.

Overview

Praet co-founded Smartendr in 2021 together with Robbrecht Delrue and Louis Pannier, building an ordering platform for bars and restaurants. The company grew to 600+ venues, 400,000+ monthly users, and over EUR 1M in revenue before being acquired by Ghent-based OrderBilly in September 2025. The combined business processed over EUR 175M in transactions in 2024.

After the exit, Praet co-founded Holmes in 2026 with Robbrecht Delrue and Sofie Buyse, an autonomous QA platform for engineering teams shipping AI-generated code. The company launched publicly in May 2026 with a EUR 1.1M pre-Seed round led by Syndicate One.

Praet is based in Ghent.
