Rudi Tielemans

Rudi Tielemans is the founder and chief executive of Eforto Health Inc., which he started in October 2024, and is based in New York City. He is also managing director of UniWeb sia, a role he has held since December 2009, and of UniWeb - Healthcare & Life Sciences, which he has led since June 2000. Between July 2014 and December 2018 he was managing director of SMARTLINK Labs. Earlier, from September 1996 to June 2000, he was assistant professor of medical informatics and biostatistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

He studied at the Prins Van Luik School in Kinshasa before completing a master's in human movement sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 1992 and a bachelor's degree in medicine at the same university in 1999. He went on to study project management at EHSAL Management School and completed the SME/KMO Excellence programme and an Executive Master Class in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Vlerick Business School. He gives his areas of expertise as entrepreneurship, business strategy, digital health innovation, management and clinical trials.
